Rustins Quick Dry Black Matt Paint is a high quality, hard wearing dense black paint.
It is based on water borne self cross-linking acrylic resin and it offers a smooth matt black finish on wrought iron and wood surfaces.
It is designed for all interior and exterior bare wood, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork, cement and wrought iron. It can be applied over existing wood and metal primers and over existing paints. This makes it perfect for coating railings, gates, doors and furniture.
This formula is a non flammable and quick drying. It is touch dry in just 30 minutes.
Before application, the surface must be clean, smooth, sound, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Fill holes and cracks with Rustins Wood Filler. Over existing paint, the surface must be cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key before application.
Apply liberally and evenly with synthetic fibre brush or roller. Apply 1 or 2 coats depending on requirements.
Coverage is approx 12-14 Sq. mt. per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Drying Time: Touch dry within 30 minutes, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Re-coating Time: 2 hours minimum, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Application Temp.: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity.

Maintenance: Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
Compatibility: May be applied over solvent and acrylic paint.
Settlement: STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original tightly closed container in normal conditions. Do not store below 5°C. Protect from frost.
Hazards: Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Keep out of reach of children.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes and hands immediately after use with water. If dried on, clean equipment and brushes with either Rustin's Brush Restorer or Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.
