However, some line marking sprays are better than others for certain tasks. A spray that has a nozzle for writing letters and numbers may not be ideal for a floor line. Some can only be sprayed downwards.

Long-Lasting Aerosol Paint

If you want the line to last, you will need to find a paint that is made to last.

We have various long-lasting spray paints available. Some will last longer than others, so make sure you read the description before buying.

If you are creating lines and symbols on surfaces that get a lot of vehicle traffic, you may want to look at how often they will drive over it. Or, if you are painting outside, make sure the paint is suitable for that.

Temporary Aerosol Spray Paint

If you don't need your lines to last, or you need to create lines and symbols for a one-off event, you can use temporary spray paint.

ProSolve Temporary Spray Paint will last around 4-6 weeks. You can remove it with a brush and water or a pressure wash.

Always make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions when removing.

What Surface Are You Marking Out?

Aerosol line marking spray paint can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, including concrete, grass, wood, and even painted floors. No matter the surface you are working on, we have a product that will suit your needs.

If you are marking out walls, make sure the spray can be used upright. Not all line marking sprays can be used on walls.

If you are marking out a painted surface, make sure it won’t damage the paint.

Colours Available

We have white and yellow available in most of our line marking sprays, as well as other colours.

Use colours that contrast strongly against the surface you are marking. If your site has a colour code, use that.

It's hard to say how far a can of aerosol spray paint will go. It depends on the product and the width of line you want.

Work out how many metres of line you need to paint. Remember to factor in the ends of the bays as well.

If you are writing out letters and numbers, you may not need as much paint.

What Quantities does Aerosol Spray Paint Come In?

Depending on the product, we have various box sizes. Our temporary spray paint comes in boxes of 6 or 12 x 750ml cans. Our hi-vis marker comes in boxes of 6 or 12 x 500ml cans.

Just make sure you select the right size and colour.

Preparing Your Aerosol Spray Paint

Once you have your spray paint, make sure you follow the instructions. Shake the can and prepare the area you want to spray.

If you are using an applicator, make sure you set the line width you want and test it out.

Allow the paint to dry before allowing traffic back on the surface.
