Description

Rustins Polyurethane Floor Seal Gloss is a heavy-bodied, pale-coloured, solvent-based polyurethane that gives a tough and durable finish.

Resistant to water, alcohol, white spirit and similar solvents, it is ideal for wood, cork, MDF and old concrete floors. It can be applied to already coated flooring without sanding if the surface is clean and free from wax. Available in Gloss and Satin finish.

Rustins Polyurethane Floor Seal Gloss enhances the colour of bare wood when applied. Has a slight darkening effect on timber. May be applied over old existing floor coatings. Should not be applied over wax.

During preparation, the surface must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Although this product contains no colour, some timbers change colour significantly when coated, especially old sanded or reclaimed wood.

Apply evenly and liberally using a large brush or varnish roller. Finish in the direction of the grain.

Two liberal coats are usually sufficient on wood. Cork and more absorbent surfaces will require three coats. Touch dry in approximately two to four hours, depending on the temperature and humidity. Re-coat when the previous coat is hard dry, typically within six to eight hours, ideally in conditions ranging from 15-25ºC. Do not use below 10ºC or in conditions of high humidity.

Coverage is 13-15sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Rustins Polyurethane Floor Seal Gloss is sold in 2.5L / 5L containers.
