High density white base coat to increase visibility

Coo-Var Glocote Foundation is a high density white base coat that should be used under Glocote Fluorescent paint to increase the visibility. Coo-Var Glocote Foundation provides a white base coat essential for Glocote Fluorescent paint to function.

Application: Roller, brush or spray

Drying time: Touch Dry 2 hours or 12 hours hard dry

Overcoat time: 12 hours or overnight

Estimated Coverage: 13m² per litre

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. New wood should be sanded prior to coating to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly.

Application Conditions

As dictated by normal good painting practice. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Preceding Coat

Prime bare wood with Coo-Var Penetrating Wood Primer, on Masonry use Coo-Var Alkali Resisting Primer, use Coo-Var Zinc Phosphate Primer on Metal.

Subsequent Coat

Coo-Var Glocote Fluorescent Paint
