Coo-Var Foundation Base For Luminous Paint is a water based and low odour base coat paint designed for use under Coo-Var Luminous paint. Coo-Var Foundation Base For Luminous Paint is used to provide a white base coat, essential for Coo-Var Luminous Paint to function.

Application: Brush

Drying time: Touch Dry 30 minutes or 2 hours hard dry

Overcoat time: 6 hours

Estimated Coverage: 13m² per litre

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. New wood should be sanded prior to coating to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly.

Application Conditions

Do not apply below 7 °C. As dictated by normal good painting practice. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Preceding Coat

Direct onto wood and masonry, porous surfaces may require 2 coats of foundation base, Coo-Var All Metals Primer on metals.

Subsequent Coat

Coo-Var Luminous Paint.

Remarks

Do not paint when temperature will be at or below 7 deg C during the painting and drying process.
