Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze is a one-part, quick-drying water-borne glaze that can be applied by brush or airbrush.
For use on china clay and ceramics, it will not crack, craze or yellow in time and it stays completely clear. A single coating is usually touch dry within 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the ambient temperature.
Artists dry powder pigments can be mixed with Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze. It is compatible for use over some cellulose, acrylic, epoxy and oil-based paints.
During preparation, the surface must be clean, smooth, dry, free from dust and contaminants. Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze can be applied by brush or airbrush. Under normal ambient conditions, it will take take 10 days to fully cross-link and achieve maximum hardness.
Only needs two to three coats, as required. Articles may be re-coated after one or two hours, depending on conditions - ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 15°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Rustins Acrylic Ceramic Glaze is sold in Clear 250ml, Clear 1L, Clear 4L, White 250ml, White 1L and White 2.5L containers.

Product Quick drying Ceramic Glaze
Type: Based on a one part ambient cross linking Acrylic resin suitable for stoving. The finish is highly durable, resistant to impact, abrasion and most solvents. Available in clear and white.
Intended Use: For use on china clay and ceramics.
Special Features: Colourless, does not yellow on ageing.
Preparation: The surface must be clean, smooth, dry , free from dust and contaminants. Read the full instructions on the tin.
Application: Acrylic Ceramic Glaze can be applied by brush or air-brush. If needed the product may be diluted with a maximum of 10% water for application by air-brush. Acrylic Ceramic Glaze will under normal ambient conditions take 10 days to fully cross-link and achieve maximum hardness.
Coats: 2-3 coats, as required.
Drying Time: The coating is generally touch-dry within 30 minutes - 1 hour, depending on the ambient temperature.
Re-coating Time: Articles may be re-coated after 1-2 hrs.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 15°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Maintenance: Coated articles can be handled 2 hours after the final coat but will take 10 days to fully harden if not stoved. During the 10 day period, articles should be protected from scuffs and spills. Restored articles may be kept clean with a warm water mild detergent solution. Dishwasher tests have been carried out on coated articles on a 'Normal' 65°C wash cycle without detriment to the coating. This practice however is at the customers own risk.
Compatibility: Artist's dry powder pigments can be mixed with Acrylic Ceramic Glaze. Artists Acrylic colours can also be used but it is recommended that a test for compatibility is carried out because of the differences in manufacturers formulations. Ceramic Glaze is compatible for use over some Cellulose, Epoxy, Acrylic and Oil based paints. Always test for compatibility first.
Settlement: Shake well before use.
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original, tightly closed containers in normal conditions. Protect from frost.
Hazards: Low hazard . Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not empty into drains. Keep container tightly closed. A full Safety Data Sheet is available upon request or on Rustins Web Site.
Clean-Up: Clean equipment immediately after use with water. If hard use Rustin's Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.
