We have an excellent range of factory floor paint available. This versatile paint is ideal for coating concrete floors in demanding industrial & commercial environments, and it is resistant to water, temperature, chemicals, impacts, heavy traffic & more, improving the appearance & the safety of working areas.
Factory floor paint is a protective, heavy-duty industrial floor coating for demanding environments and facilities. It improves the aesthetics of industrial and commercial floors, covering harsh concrete surfaces and improving the atmosphere of working areas. Factory floor paint also provides a smooth and level surface with anti-slip properties, so it is suitable for heavy foot traffic and transporting heavy loads, reducing the risk of slips, trips, and falls. It is resistant to impacts, scratches, and abrasions to withstand heavy machinery, tools, static loading, wear from pallet trucks, forklifts, and more. Industrial paint also offers excellent resistance to temperature and ingress, so your floors are protected from volatile conditions and fluid spillages, such as water, oils, chemicals, grease, and fuels.
Factory paint is versatile and economical to install. It offers excellent coverage and is easy to apply. Factory floor paint cures quickly, so downtime to installation and maintenance is kept to a minimum, and there is no negative impact on business. It is available in various colours, including neutral shades of grey, white, and black. These colours are ideal for applying other contrasting colours on top for coded line marking applications, such as walkways, storage areas, safety and hazard warnings, emergency exits, and other demarcations that contribute to a safe and efficient workplace. We also have bolder, more vibrant colours available, including blue, red, green, and yellow.

Preparation is key to achieving a professional, high quality, long-lasting painted floor finish. Applying paint to dirty and damaged concrete is never recommended. Broken and cracked areas of concrete should be removed and repaired before application of paint. Old coatings and any ingrained dirt, stains and spills should be cleaned out or mechanically ground out of the floor. The floor should be thoroughly swept and cleaned.
Concrete surfaces must be sealed and primed with a protective layer before industrial paint is applied. You can usually achieve this with one product, such as Prosolve Prime & Seal. Primer is thinner than paint, so it penetrates porous concrete, creating a level layer and preventing ingress from dust and fluids. It also ensures that the primary floor coating bonds well for a perfect, reliable finish.
When applying the main coating, you can use a brush or roller to paint the perimeter of the space. You can then pour out the floor paint onto a set point and use a short to medium pile roller to spread it out section by section. Use cross-rolling to get the best, even coverage. Industrial floor paint cures quickly, and the product will advise how long it takes before you can apply a second coat if needed. Always follow the manufacturer's application instructions for your chosen floor paint.
